신촌캠퍼스 학술정보원은 연세인을 위한 IT서비스 품질 향상을 위해 구글앱스와 MS Office 365 서비스 기반의 클라우드 메일 서비스를 도입하게 되었습니다. 

 구글앱스는 지메일, 구글 드라이브, 캘린더 등 다양한 기능을 제공하는 클라우드 서비스로 전 세계 많은 기업 및 교육기관에서 사용하고 있습니다. 특히 교육기관에는 메일, 드라이브 용량을 제한 없이 무료로 제공하기 때문에 국내/외 많은 대학들이 사용하고 있습니다. MS Office 365는 MS 메일, OneDrive 등의 사용이 가능하며, Excel, PowerPoint 등의 MS 소프트웨어를 집에서도 설치해 사용할 수 있습니다.

 클라우드 서비스를 도입함으로써 연세인들이 겪게 될 가장 큰 변화는 기존 메일 주소(@yonsei.ac.kr)를 그대로 사용하나 메일 시스템은 구글 지메일을 사용하게 되는 점입니다. 사용법 차이로 초기에는 다소 혼란이 있을 수 있으나, 구글 지메일이 기존 메일보다 관리기능, 제공 용량, 안정성 측면에서 우수하며, 운영 비용 절감 효과도 기대되는 등 장기적으로는 구성원 개인이나 학교 모두에 이익이 됩니다. 따라서 도입 초기 다소 불편한 점이 있으시더라도 구성원 여러분들의 양해와 협조를 부탁드립니다.

 향후 클라우드 메일 서비스 도입 일정은 다음과 같습니다.

    가. 메일 신규 회원 가입 중지 : 2018. 10. 1.(월)
    나. 콜센터 및 안내 홈페이지 오픈 : 2018. 10. 1.(월)

    다. 클라우드 메일 시스템 서비스 오픈 : 2018. 10. 15.(월)

      - 2018. 10. 13(토)~14(일) 은 시스템 전환 작업으로 메일 사용이 어렵습니다.

1. To improve the quality of IT services, Academy Information Center of Shinchon Campus will introduce cloud email services based on Google Apps and MS Office 365.

2. Once cloud email is implemented, there may be some confusion as the existing email address (@yonsei.ac.kr) will be used while using Google Gmail. However, Google Gmail is superior to traditional Yonsei email in terms of management, capacity, and reliability while delivering operational savings. Therefore, even though users may experience some inconveniences at the beginning of the introduction, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

3. Detailed schedule of cloud email rollout is as follows:

  A. Stop new email registration: Monday October 1, 2018

  B. Call center and information homepage operation: Monday October 1, 2018.
