3. DESCRIPTION OF THE MAJOR
Biotechnology is a key area that contributes to the health and well-being of mankind based on biology engineering and life engineering, which is regarded as an advanced and promising area that leads the national growth of the engine industry. The field of living science is a representative field of integrated study, which is inclusive of basic sciences which are studied in any discipline, and application area which develops new technologies based on basic sciences.
The major aims at fostering professionals with beauty, health and functional food which the modern society demands. To foster professionals with an integrated perspective, including K-beauty and Korean food in the Korean Wave era, the major covers technologies related to bio-living technology based on basic science technology subjects ranging from bio-cosmetics to functional foods.

Our graduates have found employment in research institutes in biotechnology, start-up businesses in bio-venture, cosmetics and health-functional foods, and studying at graduate schools, etc.
