Ninety-five students from Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) celebrated their graduation in a ceremony held on February 26, 2024, at the Lee Yoon-Jae Hall (이윤재관), with a significant presence of families and friends.

The Associate Professor and Chair of the PIC Program, Ph.D. Jae-Jeok Park, led the ceremony.  Ph.D., Sigamoney Shakespeare, a University Chaplain, gave the invocation and led the brief service. Then, the Dean of Yonsei GSIS, D.Phil.Jung-Hoon Lee, gave the Commencement Address and conferred the degrees on each graduate.

The graduating class included two Ph.D. students from the International Management and International Trade and Finance programs, alongside 93 Master’s Program graduates. This diverse cohort comprised nine Korean Studies graduates, 35 International Cooperation graduates, 34 International Trade, Finance, and Management graduates, and 15 Global Citizenship and Cooperation graduates.

Acknowledging academic excellence, Josh Jeremy Ragbar received the Dean’s Award for Exceptional Achievement. In contrast, Stella Hong, Evgeniya Vladislavovna I, Brandon Scott Green, and Shuo Yang Chang received program-specific awards for academic excellence.

The Yonsei GSIS Newsletter extends warm congratulations to the graduates and their families as they step into new beginnings. Looking ahead, the Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for August 30, continuing the tradition of celebrating academic success at GSIS.
