Development of Individually-addressable Composite Microneedle Electrode Array by Mold-and-Place Method for Glucose Detection
The research team, led by Professor WonHyoung Ryu from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (the first author of this study is Jeongmin Kim), has developed an individually addressable composite microneedle electrode array by mold-and-place method and utilized the device for glucose detection. It demonstrated that this composite microneedle electrode can be modified through multiple surface modification processes so that it can efficiently react with hydrophilic biomolecules, such as glucose. This research has been accepted in the renowned international academic journal 'Sensors and Actuators B - Chemical' (Impact factor: 8.4) in October 2023.
