High-Temperature-Operable Electromechanical Computing Units Enabled by Aligned Carbon Nanotube Arrays
Professor Jongbaeg Kim's (left) research team demonstrated 'contact-based micro-electro-mechanical switches and computing units for high-temperature operation'. This study was published in 'ACS Nano', an international journal in the field of nano/materials( Impact Factor: 17.2, top 5.8%). A vertically aligned nanotube bundle was integrated as a contact material for micro-electro-mechanical electronic switches, which was capable of operating at up to 550 degrees. Research professor Eunhwan Jo (right) led the research under supervision of Professor Jongbaeg Kim. This research are expected to contribute to the development of micro devices and integrated circuits capable of operating at high temperatures. *This research was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) grants funded by the Korea government (MSIT).
