Awarded the grand prize in the 2023 Autonomous Driving Robot Race Competition

Under the guidance of Professor Jongeun Choi, Yonsei University's Mech in AI team won the grand prize at the 1st competition of the 2023 Autonomous Driving Robot Race held at the C-track of Chungbuk National University's Ochang Campus. This is the only competition in Korea that the autonomous vehicles start simultaneously, and requires using various autonomous driving strategies such as lane changing, overtaking, and vehicle-to-vehicle contact avoidance. This research team developed autonomous driving technologies such as multimodal sensor fusion, obstacle avoidance algorithms, and condition prediction-based control systems, and installed them in vehicles to complete the race.
